M.Sc  Agriculture / M.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture (2nd Division) in Plant Breeding and Genetics earned after B.Sc Agriculture / B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture from a recognized University / Institute with 

Experience required:

Seven years experience of research in Plant Breeding and Genetics acquired 
after M.Sc Agriculture / M.Sc (Hons) Agriculture.

Age:    

26 to 45  + 05 years 

Domicile:       

Punjab.

Gender:         

Both Male and Female candidates domiciled in any district of the Province of the Punjab.

Place of Posting:  

Anywhere in Punjab.

DUTIES OF THE POST OF BOTANIST

1. To guide and supervise the work to be conducted by the Assistant Botanist and Assistant Research Officer (Plant Breeding and Genetics Group).
2. Planning and coordination of research and development activities on Plant Breeding crops.
3. Development of high yielding, early maturing varieties resistant to insects and pests.
4. To conduct Genetics studies to improve breeding work.
